On the living room wall next to the window, insead of a mantle. would be a nice place to decorate w accessories if you dont have a mantle. could hang xmas stockings, decorate seasonally, etc. also a good place to use the old window. DIY Entry Table when you don't have a lot of room...(plus other awesome ideas!) This might be great for a hallway or upstairs landing too.
